Ingredients

  • 12 oz Sprite chilled
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons blue raspberry syrup
  • 1 cup ice cubes or crushed ice
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon sugar optional
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract optional
  • Fresh blueberries optional for garnish

Method

  1. Putting your glass in the freezer for ten minutes helps keep your drink cold and slows down ice melting. Fill your chilled glass with ice cubes or crushed ice to the top. A full glass of ice keeps the drink cold longer and helps create layers.
  2. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons over ice. Use 2 tablespoons for a stronger berry flavor, or 1 for a lighter taste. Open a cold can of Sprite. Pouring it slowly down the inside edge of the glass, while tilting it slightly, helps keep the bubbles and makes the drink fizzier.
  3. Pour whole milk into a cup or French press. Add one teaspoon of sugar and vanilla extract if you want. Froth the milk with a frother, or pump the French press handle up and down about 30 times, until it becomes thick and foamy.
  4. Spoon the cold foam generously over the top of the drink. It should sit on top like a creamy layer. Add a few fresh blueberries on top if you like. Put in a straw and serve right away.
