Ingredients

  • ½ cup creamy mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce or sriracha
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon taco seasoning cajun seasoning, or red chili powder

Method

  1. Ensure everything is prepared, and scoop ½ cup of creamy mayonnaise into a bowl. Measure 1 teaspoon of hot sauce or sriracha and add it to the bowl.
  2. Pour 1 teaspoon of lemon juice into the bowl next to the hot sauce.
  3. Sprinkle ½ teaspoon of garlic powder and 1 teaspoon of your choice of seasoning (taco, cajun, or red chili powder) over the mixture.
  4. Stir with a spoon or whisk until the color is even.
  5. Make sure there are no white streaks of plain mayo.
  6. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or place the sauce in an airtight container.
  7. Put it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. This step is important; cold sauce tastes better.
  8. Take the sauce out of the fridge, give it a quick stir, and it’s ready to use.
